COVID-19 and office closures

Elayne Clarke  23-03-2020

At Samuels Solicitors we are taking the threat of COVID-19 very seriously, and are doing all we can to help the national effort to slow the spread of the virus.

Both of our offices, in Barnstaple and Kingsbridge, are closed to clients, except for those who require our services in relation to essential and urgent document signing.

The vast majority of our staff are now working from home, and we are doing our very best to ensure that it will be business as usual.

An example of urgent document signing, would be if there is an imminent conveyancing transaction which is due to complete very shortly.

If you want to prepare a Will then we are able to offer our clients a swift and efficient service during this time. We are unable to meet you face to face, however one of our solicitors can take your instructions over the telephone, or via a video call, and provide you with advice with regard to the signing of your Will once it has been drawn up.

If you are unsure whether you should attend our offices or not, please call your closest office (Barnstaple on 01271 343457 or Kingsbridge on 01548 859331) to speak to the person dealing with your matter.

If your visit to one of our offices is essential, we will be asking you to observe the government's strict guidelines on handwashing and contact, to ensure that you and our staff are protected.

None of us know at this stage how long office and other closures might have to be in place for, but we will be regularly updating our clients on this site.

We wish all of our clients and contacts the very best of health at this uncertain time.

If you need to speak to a solicitor urgently, please contact us to find out how we can help.
