Ben Powell
Trainee Solicitor
Ben was born and raised in Cornwall until he joined the Royal Air Force at the age of 16. He then went on to serve 15 years operating as a logistics specialist in several different roles in the UK. He also has a wide variety of international work experience, most recently working as a Liaison Officer in Canada.
In October 2015, Ben began studying for his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree with the Open University, obtaining a First Class award in June 2020. He then went on to complete his Legal Practice Course MSc in June 2023 with the University of Law.
Ben left the Royal Air Force and joined Samuels Solicitors in July 2024 after securing a training contract. Ben has a particular interest in litigation and is looking forward to spending some time with each department before he goes on to qualify as a solicitor in the future.
In his spare time, Ben can be found exploring his new home of North Devon with his dog and fruitlessly attempting to improve his golf swing.
