Tarushi Bahuguna

Tarushi was born and raised in India. She graduated from the University of Newcastle with LLB Hons with a Placement Programme in 2025 where she received the ‘Vice Chancellor Academic Excellence’ scholarship. For her placement she worked in Conveyancing and Personal Injury for a year as part of her degree. 

At University, Tarushi was involved in Pro Bono work in Criminal Appeal cases and also volunteered as a Street Law Ambassador in the North East. Her love for advocacy as the Mooting Officer in Law school inspired her to pursue litigation and she started working as a Litigation Paralegal immediately after law school at a Newcastle based firm. 

Tarushi is a professional actor and won the ‘Best Actor’ award in under 21 category in a national competition. She still follows her passion for filmmaking and acting in her spare time and was a voice artist in a short film selected for international short film festival. 

She joined Samuels Solicitors in 2026 in the new Newcastle office as a litigation paralegal and looks forward to her journey in the firm.
