Yasmin Ali

Yasmin graduated from Northumbria University with an integrated masters degree. She qualified as as solicitor and was admitted to the roll in 2022 after completing her training contract. Before joining Samuels’ Newcastle office in January 2026 as a commercial solicitor, she was part of a large North East firm for a number of years as well as previously interning in a firm in Beijing, China.

Yasmin has handled a wide variety of commercial property transactions, ranging from small landlord and tenant matters to larger scale portfolios and lease related transactions. In particular, she has experience in working with:

•  A variety of panel lenders to build HMO portfolios for purchases and refinances;
•  Sales that include a "transfer of a going concern" property, for independent businesses ranging from health and lifestyle to the food industry;
•  Lease matters, including but not limited to surrenders, assignment and variations; and
•  Purchases of large units to then be split into multiple leases.

Yasmin’s approach is client focused and is she always open to having a chat on the phone to help guide you through the transaction.

Outside of work she is on a mission to earn her black belt in kickboxing as well as take part in any adrenaline focused activity whilst also learning BSL- that is when she isn’t looking after her little girl.
